Pulling a cigarette from his inside jacket pocket. Placed it between his lips and turned slightly to face a twenty-two pointed at his face...by his partner.

“Alex?”

“I’ve warned you...I’ve had enough of your sneaking into the alley to smoke. You think you don’t stink of it?”

His eyes widened as she pulled the hammer back, there was a spark as it fired. Flame shot out the barrel lighting the end of the cigarette. Bobby collapsed back against the building.

“Blow smoke rings with that, Goren.” she shot over her shoulder walking away pocketing the lighter.

The dream crept in insidiously. The ring of fire circled him. Inside the flames he saw them…

Nicole with a gaping hole in her chest, Frank with his bong, his Dad screaming adulteress down at his Mom naked, young and wrapped in Mark Ford Brady’s arms.

‘Bobby,’ she called from the flames, ‘Come to us, we’re waiting. You’ve nothing left there. No reason to live.’

Nicole stretched a hand out to him ‘One bullet Bobbee and you can doom yourself to be with those who love you.’ The flames leapt higher. The heat burned and crackled his skin. The wailing of his name rose. He closed his eyes. Covered his ears. “No, No. No.”

A soft caress, a whispered “Come back to me, darling." The dream faded. Loving arms embraced him.

He didn’t belong in the fires of Hell, now that his angel had saved him.

WORKING SIXTY HOURS A WEEK RIGHT NOW, NURSES SHORTAGE AND ALL(THAT'S FIVE SHIFTS FROM 7P TO 7A FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW) SO AM ALREADY ON A SHORT FUSE...MADE A MISTAKE OF TAKING SOME TIMEOUT TO SURF THE NET A BIT AND RAN ACROSS A BLOG (THAT WILL REMAIN NAMELESS) WHO LISTED HER TOP TEN SEXIEST MEN ON NIGHT-TIME TELEVISION. VINCENT WAS NOT NUMBER ONE, HE WASN'T EVEN LISTED. BEING THERE WAS NO COMMENT BOX I E-MAILED HER SIMPLY SAYING THAT MY LIST WOULD HAVE INCLUDED MR. D'ONOFRIO AND HE WOULD BE FIRST ON MY LIST CERTAINLY ABOVE DAVID CARUSO-NOT PUTTING DOWN MR. CARUSO's acting ability but sexiness? THAT'S ALL I SAID, I SWEAR.

I GOT A PAGE OF VULGARITY BACK CALLING ME NAMES FOR ATTACKING HER CHOICES (WHAT ATTACK????) AND ENDING WITH THESE WORDS.

I ALMOST HAD AN ANEURYSM. AND STARTED TO RESPOND WHEN I FOLLOWED MY OWN ADVICE, WHEN ATTACKED..THINK ABOUT IT. ITS HER BLOG...I JUST WON'T EVER GO THERE AGAIN. THANK GOODNESS SHE HAD E-MAIL COMMENTS. I CAN BLOCK HER ADDRESS. BUT IF SHE HAD MY BLOG THEN SHE'D ALSO HAVE ACCESS TO ALL OF THE BLOGS I LINK TO.

TELL ME DID I DO RIGHT BY NOT WRITING HER BACK AND ASKING HER IF SHE'D EVER EVEN SEEN THE BODY OF WORK OUR MAN HAS DONE? AND LOOK AT THIS FACE. EVEN AT ITS SCRUFFIEST WHEN HE WAS ON SUSPENSION IN PURGATORY IS HE NOT ADORABLE.

Touch

I have capped and scripted the entire season seven (When I finish Amends) and this is the only time I have ever seen Alex touch Bobby.





If I had the chance to touch Bobby, it wouldn't be so fleeting and it wouldn't be his arm. Minds out of the gutters ladies...You know I would have my hands over that back and along those shoulders.
